Another year has just been added in my life and I’m so grateful to the good Lord for His never ending blessings and provisions. For all these years since He created me in this vast world, He was always with me whether in times of joy, troubles or trials. Most of you know that I’ve been to a lot of trials in my life. It was during those times that I held on to God’s promises and my faith in Him was strengthened. God never failed me and I just want to thank and praise His Holy name. I thank God for my life and for the joy of my salvation. I thank God for giving me a loving husband whom I love dearly. I thank God for my family and friends who stood with me during those times that I needed them. I thank God for sending His dear Son Jesus Christ who died in the cross for my sins so that I would be reconciled with Him and be with Him in heaven someday. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you God and I praise your holy name. Bless the Lord O my soul.
I received a lot of birthday greetings from my friends and loved ones. Friends from the church and my friends in Friendster sent me good wishes. My siblings in the Philippines sent me text messages and greeted me a happy birthday. I am so thankful for all those who remembered me. Your thoughtfulness touched my heart. To celebrate my birthday, I cooked meatloaf, pancit and lumpia. I didn’t invite anybody. It’s just me and my hubby who ate what I cooked and it made me happy that he always love to eat the foods that I cooked. The meatloaf was gone before I had time to take a photo so it’s not in the picture. My hubby gave me my birthday presents a day before my birthday. Wanna know what did he gave me? See the photos HERE. I blogged about it in my other site.

My Hubby's Birthday
Posted by Lisa at 7:07 PMIt’s my hubby’s birthday today. We just celebrated it simply at home. He got a lot of phone calls today greeting him a happy birthday. I wanted to cook pancit, lumpia and all those good stuff but since hubby is on a diet, I decided not to. He just cooked beef roast and I cooked beans and prepared veggie salad. I also cooked burger patties and scambled eggs for him this morning. He’s on a low carb diet so no starchy foods for him and no sweets too. He’ll do that for 35 days. He did it last year and he lost a lot of weight. After the diet he gained it back again gradually that’s why he need to go on a diet again. He gave up his coffee and tea while on his diet, also his bread and crackers. He eats more veggie salad, lean meat and beans. I want him to have a healthier body and also more birthdays to come. I love him dearly and I thank God for giving him to me.

My Natal Day
Posted by Lisa at 8:35 AMIt was my birthday yesterday and I thank God for another year that He has given me in my life. God is the source of my existence and without Him I am nothing. Every year is such a blessing and I just praise God for all the things that He has done in my life and for all the things that He’s going to do. We were in Cleburne this weekend and we stayed at Robert and Shelly’s house. We spent 2 nights there and it was such a pleasure to be with them.
We went also to visit Stacy and her 2 kids. LA still looks the same but Consuelo has grown and she is a fat baby now at 5 months. She don’t cry now as she used to when she was newly born. I carried her and held her in my arms and she behaved and smiled. I am really fond of babies and I just wished that I have one of my own. George is fond of Consuelo too being his first granddaughter and he put her on his lap and rocked her on the chair. It’s been more than 4 months since the last time we saw all of them. We haven’t seen Sherry though when we went to see her at her work place after church. George got the chance too to assemble a model car with Josh last Friday night. It was a bonding time for the two of them and both of them like to play with cars. I also had the chance to swim or it’s more proper to say soak myself in their swimming pool (since I can’t swim). It made me feel relax and cool on a hot day.
Yesterday after church, Shelly and Robert cooked our lunch. Shelly said it’s in honor of my birthday and she cooked mashed potatoes and beans and Robert cooked beef steak. George bought ice cream and we had a good lunch. Oh, I almost forgot, Robert bought 4 boxes of pizza last Saturday night. Oh my, George and I got full that he went to bed early and both of us had a good night sleep. We are really thankful for the Brownlees for their hospitality and for the good meals. It was such a blessing.

My Husband's Birthday
Posted by Lisa at 8:23 PMGuess what? It’s my husband’s birthday today! I won’t tell how old is he now because his number is unlisted, he-he-he! Since I woke up this morning, I’ve been busy cooking for our lunch so when he comes home from work to eat, lunch would be ready. I decided to cook Filipino foods since he like them, like pancit, lumpia, beans and I tried to cook my favorite meatloaf. It really made me tired cooking all these things just by myself but I had to since I want to please my husband on his birthday. Lunch was not yet ready though when he got home because he came home earlier than what I expected. I asked him to take out the meatloaf from the oven and try to drain the grease and when he took it out from the oven, he asked me when will I put the tomato sauce. Oh my gosh! I told him I forgot about it since I had a lot of things to cook all at the same time and it’s also my fist time to cook meatloaf. So he had to put tomato sauce on top of the meatloaf and put it back inside the oven. He was in a hurry to go back to work so he ate and did not wait for the meatloaf and decided to just eat it tonight. He ended up just eating the pancit, lumpia and the beans minus the meatloaf. Before he went back to work I prepared some pancit and lumpia to give to his boss and his friends at work.
What can I say about my husband? I want to tell the world that I am blessed to have a husband like him who loves me unconditionally and who accepted me for what and who I am. He also loves my family and treats them as his own. He see to it that he tells me those three sweetest words everyday "I LOVE YOU" and he did that since we got married. He never changed since we first met, he’s still loving and caring and I love him for that. We don’t have what you call perfect relationship because there’s no such thing as that, but we managed to settle our differences if ever we have before we go to sleep. One thing I dislike about him though, he likes to tickle me and it seems like his day is not complete without tickling me. He knows that I’m ticklish and sometimes he overdo it and it makes me scream and get mad at him. I told him I don’t wanna be tickled. He will then say sorry but the next day he will do it again. That’s the way my husband is, he has this childlike trait in him. He has also a great sense of humor and he likes to watch comedy shows. I like the way he laugh while watching sitcoms, it made me laugh too but not because of the show but because of the way he laugh. This guy I’m married too is unique in every way and I love him and he loves me and we’re stuck with each other for the rest of our lives. I will grow old with him and he with me with the blessings from our God Almighty, for He is our matchmaker and He’s the one who give us each other.
To my husband George, my honey, Happy Birthday and may the Lord bless you and give you many more returns of the day…
