I tried to get up earlier this morning and went online. I wanted to chat with my family in the Philippines. It was past 9:00 AM here and it’s past 10 PM there. Most of them were already asleep except my sister Violy and her hubby. I talked to her for more than an hour and we saw each other in the webcam. She told me that she uploaded some of their photos in her friendster. I browsed her photos that she uploaded and I’ve seen the photos of her 2 boys when they received awards and medal during their closing exercises in their school. I took photos of my sister in the webcam using Skype. I miss her very much. She’s the only sister I got and we’re so close to each other. My siblings and I have a very close family tie. We love and support each other in every way we can.

My siblings and I call her auntie Aning. She’s the only sister of my late mom and she’s our second mom. She took care of us when our mom passed away. She cooked for us, buy groceries, do the dishes and give us motherly love. She did not marry and she devoted her life taking care of our grandma and us. When we were studying in college and we needed money for our tuition fees, she went to our neighbors and borrowed money so we can take the exams. When I was sick and fighting the big C, she was my prayer warrior. She went with me in my therapies. When I got married and my hubby was there in our house in the Philippines, she cooked for us our favorite foods. She always cooked for my hubby adobong pusit when she learned that George like it. Whatever my hubby loves to eat, she cooked it very often. I really miss her cooking when I was already here in the US.

Four and a half years had passed since I’ve been here and my auntie Aning is now forgetful. She can hardly remember my name now. I cried when I learned about it and I told it to my hubby. She’s 76 years old but she’s still strong. Only, senility sets in with her. She can’t remember my hubby’s name too. Also, they don’t let her cook now because she burns the rice whenever she cooks. She forget that she’s cooking. I talked to her and we saw each other in the webcam a few days ago. I really miss her so much. She always asked me everytime I talked to her when am I going back there. She also miss me. Oh, I pray to God to make our plans come true so we can go back there soon and see my aunt and my siblings. I always tell my siblings to take care of our aunt because she is already old and she needs TLC and understanding. She took care of us and it’s our turn to take care of her too now that she’s old. I love my auntie Aning and I really miss her a lot. My hubby miss her too.

Before heading to Traders’ Village last Sunday after church, we stopped by at Dairy Queen in Cedar Hills to eat lunch. Robert, Shelly, Josh, my hubby and I enjoyed eating our meals. I love the hunger buster sandwich at Dairy Queen. While everybody were still eating, I took out my digicamcorder and took video. Maybe these American guys I was with thought I’m a camera freak. Hubby already knows that I’m fond of taking photos and videos. I told him this is my business. I need to have something to blog about especially in between these paid post because it’s their requirement to post non-sponsored post in between my paid blogging. Sometimes I run out of topic so I have to think of something to write about. So here are the photos and video.

My niece Shaira Faith whom I blogged a few days ago is now 2 months old. My sister Violy had e-mailed me some of her photos. She has really grown. I talked to my brother this morning and he told me that his baby is their delight. She responded to them when they talk to her by smiling. A week from now they gonna dedicate her to the Lord.

I talked to my youngest brother on the phone the other day. He told me that they gonna dedicate to the Lord their baby girl Faith on the 29th of this month. My hubby and I will be one of the ninongs and ninangs. I just wish we are there to celebrate with them. I also talked to my other brother and he was so excited to break the good news to me. His wife is 2 months preggy and he will be soon a daddy. I’m so happy for my two brothers. They have now their own family. Both of them got married when I was already here in the US. My hubby and I were not able to attend their wedding. Now they’re having babies. Babies are blessings from the Lord. Below is the photo of baby Faith, a cute and healthy baby taken when she was 3 days old.

There’s a new addition in the Lowrey clan. Stacy gave birth on her 2nd baby on March 2 with a bouncing baby girl. They named the baby Consuelo Renee. She is cute and chubby baby. Consuelo is our 1st granddaughter and George is so much delighted. Imagine he has 5 grandsons already and finally here comes a granddaughter. Consuelo is growing so fast. I talked to Stacy on the phone yesterday and she told me that her baby has gained 2 lbs. already since the last time I saw her which was 3 weeks ago. Oh my, that baby really drinks a lot of milk. When we were there in Alvarado, she cried like every hour and each time she cries, she wants milk. I told Stacy and Manuel that Consuelo is like a piglet, LOL! Stacy said that she was planning to just give her baby water instead of milk and just limit her milk intake because infant formula is expensive but I don’t know if she really did that. Stacy also told me that her son L.A. got jealous when his baby sister was born. I think that’s just normal to every firstborn child that when they have a sibling, they don’t get the 100% attention of the parents anymore so they get jealous. That happened to my nephew Ken-Ken. When my sister gave birth to her 2nd son Mak-Mak, Ken-Ken got jealous. The attention of the parents suddenly shifted to the newborn baby but still they love their firstborn child. My sister Violy e-mailed me some of these photos taken on my brother Celso’s wedding last January 21st. These were not professionally taken since she just took these with her digicam. They hired a photographer and a video man to cover the wedding. My brother Celso is the last one in the family to get married. My youngest brother Albin got married December 2005. My husband and I both missed their weddings. How we wished we were there. My sister told me over the phone that Celso had a nice wedding, too many people and also a lot of wedding presents. According to my sister, the caterer brought out 600 plates and they were all used up and they have had to wash and also 200 paper plates were also used. They raised more than P20,000 when their friends and relatives pinned money on their clothes when they had their dance. They got as principal sponsors some prominent people in the town. My brother and his bride Vivian both work in our town hall. That’s where they met each other. My brother is a BS Arch graduate and he is very good in drawing building plans, sketching, charcoal and canvass painting. He also make wedding invitations as his sideline. In fact he was the one who made my mine and Albin’s wedding invitations. You guessed it right, he was the one who made their own wedding invitations too. He made it like a professional, I think even better. He sent me one.

We are four in the family and I’m the oldest. My sister Violy is next to me and Celso is the third and Albin is the youngest. The three of us, Violy, me and Albin had the same minister who officiated our wedding except Celso. His bride is a Catholic and Celso is not yet converted to our church that’s why I’ve been praying that he will be born again and accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and so with his wife. He’s been attending our church there but did not yet decide to join. It’s my prayer that God will convict his heart and let Jesus in and be Lord of his life. Don’t get me wrong, my brother is not a bad guy, he is a good man, but Jesus said in the Scriptures, "Except a man be born again he cannot enter the kingdom of God", John 3:3. "For by grace you have been saved thru faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast." Eph. 2:8-9. Salvation is only through Jesus Christ, not by good works or religion. It’s our relationship with Jesus Christ that matters. Here are some of the photos.

My husband and I decided to go to Alvarado to celebrate thanksgiving with the kids and grandkids. He was off Wednesday so we drove there after lunch. It was a 2 hr 30 minutes drive. It’s been 6 months since the last time we were there and we miss all of them. My husband and I were glad to see Lorenzo Alexander, (my hubby call him LA) the youngest grandkid. He really is a cutie and he really likes me and I like him too. He likes to pose infront of the camera and whenever the camera flashes he make faces and show his teeth.

On Thanksgiving Day, my step-daughter Stacy cooked a lot of foods like turkey, ham, dressing, macaroni & cheese, green beans, pumpkin pie, apple pie, banana pudding and Sherry made pistachio pudding and mashed potatoes. I also cooked pancit and everybody likes it. I forgot to bring the eggrolls that I made. Before we began eating my husband had to say the blessing and thanked God for His goodness and provisions.

On Friday night, we went to see the Christmas lights in Hulen Park in Cleburne. Sherry and LA went with us. Oh, the lights were so pretty. We took some photos there.

They also made a manger scene with the Christmas lights, also the American flag, a train and also a very tall Christmas tree made of lights.

We’re supposed to go back home Saturday, but my hubby decided to go to Shelly’s house in Cleburne and spend the day with her and her family but unfortunately they went out of town. They went to Jefferson to see those antique stores there. Shelly by the way is my oldest step-daughter. My hubby and I just went to eat at Golden Coral since it was already lunch time before going back to Alvarado.

Sunday, we drove back home but I asked my hubby to stop at the mall in Forth Worth because I wanted to do a little shopping. I bought some house decors and other stuff. Then the next stop was at the Oriental store in Haltom City. I bought some fresh fish (bangus, sapsap at gg). I really love fish more than meat. I also bought vegetables and groceries like ligo sardines from the Philippines, mungo beans, lumpia wrappers, nata de coco, palm seeds, etc. I bought also oranges and persimmon fruits. I love persimmon, it taste sweet and really good.
After that I was finally done and we drove back home here in Wichita Falls. It’s good to be home.
