Thunderbird Resorts in Poro Point

Last Tuesday, my hubby and I together with my youngest brother and my niece Vernice went to the immigration office in Poro Point, San Fernando La Union to pay the annual fee of my hubby. I asked my brother to drive for us. It was a two hour drive from where we live. On the way, we stopped by at Jollibee in Agoo, La Union to have lunch. Jollibee is Vernice's favorite fast food restaurant.

After we ate we proceeded to the immigration. It took maybe 15 minutes to wait for hubby's annual report to be done and we went out of the immigration office around 2PM. Before leaving the entrance gate I asked the guard where is the Thunderbird Resorts and he told me the direction. It's only about 500 meters away from the immigration office so we drove there. Before leaving, Vernice insisted to get my camera and took our photos.

The security guard at the Immigration office. Vernice was the one who took his pic.
When we reached the entrance of the resort, we asked the guard to let us in because we wanted to have a sight-seeing. He obliged and opened the entrance gate. It's a good thing they don't require and entrance fee. Thunderbird Resorts is located in a very spacious land and the buildings of the hotels are Mediterranean style patterned after the buildings in Greece. If you are there, it looks like you're in a foreign country. I also read in the internet that this place is where the celebrity John Estrada and his bride got married last year.

We feasted our eyes with the nice view and took some photos. I just wished we were able to see the inside of the hotel too. One of these days, I would like to go back there with hubby and spend a night just to experience the beauty and quietness of the place. They have also a golf course there. So if you want to be away from the busyness of life in the city and you just want to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature, then Thunderbird Resorts is the place to visit.

Li'l Photographer

The following photos were taken by my 3 year old niece, Vernice. I just taught her how to use the camera and take pics 3 days ago and since then she got addicted taking photos. She always request me to take our pics. Hubby said I created a monster, lol! Yesterday when we were in Manaoag and she was taking our pics, people were staring at us and they were all smiling. Perhaps they were fascinated seeing a small girl taking pictures. In fairness, she take good pics better than my hubby, lol!

Meet our cute, li'l 3 year old photographer, Vernice Julia. She has the potential to be a good photographer in the future.

At The Park

Last Wednesday, September 14, my hubby and I rode with my brother-in-law's service pick up and we went to Baguio to get an application form for the registration of our church at SEC located at the Baguio Convention Center. They gave us the form and we paid Php500.00. We then walked out of the building and walked to the nearest park. We passed by the University of the Philippines, Baguio and I decided to take a photo.

We kept on walking and reached Sunshine Park. Hubby and I have been here before, way back in 2003 and we had some photos here. The park still look the same, nice, clean and green. Hubby and I took turns in taking some photos. I love the view in this park, so simple yet captivating. They just need to repaint the sign board though.

Flowers and Me

I love photography and my favorite subjects are flowers and scenery. Lately, I've been learning photoshop. My brother taught me just the basics so I'm not really that good yet. I just know how to change the background of my pics and of course I put flowers as backgrounds, lol! I snagged most of the pics from my friends in FB without their knowledge, lol! I hope they won't mind when they see it here. Oh I just love flowers! I just wish I will learn more about photoshop so I can improve my craft.

Rice Field

Me and a friend of mine took some photos in the rice field beside our church last Sunday. The farmers just planted rice and it just started to grow. It's so refreshing to see the green scenery in the field. In a few months time, I will again take some photos when the rice grow bigger. In October, the rice will be ready for harvest. I hope I will not forget to take photos before the harvest season.

By the way, we just bought a land for a church just beside this rice land where we took photos. It's a blessing from the Lord. Now, we're praying that the good Lord will provide the means to construct our church. I believe that with God all things are possible.

I Moved My Blog

I'm glad I was able to import my blog from friendster. They're going to delete all the blogs there and they gave until the 27th of June to export all the blogs and photos there. This blog of mine is so important to me because this is my first ever blog. I started it last October 2006 so it's been almost 5 years now since I started blogging. I just can't let this blog of mine be deleted so I have to move it to this website. I have all the photos and memories that I wrote here since I started blogging.
